Hi, I am Kevin Lobo. And my adjectives are fun/funny. Born in India and raised Catholic, 16 years back I broke Indian norms and the hearts of my parents and priest, by choosing to join advertising over becoming a doctor or an astronaut. I was last sighted leading teams on integrated campaigns, crafting films, building global commerce platforms, creating digital experiences and stealing office stationery at VMLY&R. Before that, I’ve crafted purpose driven and innovative campaigns on a large variety of global and local brands– anything from cosmetics, to food, to auto, to tech at Leo Burnett, CLA, McCann, DDB & Ogilvy.
My work has been acknowledged by the One Show, D&AD, Spikes, the Effies, WARC and Cannes Lions, where my awards include a Gold Lion for Creative Effectiveness for the time I recycled an Indian Navy warship to build motorcycles. Whilst not recycling things, I attempt to win design competitions for the likes of Mother London or the daunting Young Glory competition. Recently I have also dabbled into directing few commercials for brands.
Currently I am working on a book about leaked confessions by Catholic priests around the world and one on dictators’ final moments. I love football (or soccer if you call it that), Family Guy, Will Ferrell, Sean Lock, and making up interesting stories for my lovely wife. Literally anyone (other than Lex Steele) can connect with me at kevin.lobo5@hotmail.com or chat with me on +91 98195 01052
